Dimming transforms static layer plans into living environments. Helsinki homes shift from bright morning routines to muted evening gatherings — and lighting must follow without manual adjustment at every hour.

We programme scenes that combine ambient, task, and accent levels into named presets: Morning, Day, Evening, Night. Each preset specifies percentage output per circuit and fade time between states, typically 3–8 seconds for imperceptible transitions.

Kallio apartments with single-wall kitchens benefit from scene splits that raise task over the counter while dining ambient drops. Eira dining rooms might use Evening scene with accent on sideboard ceramics at 40 percent and overhead ambient at 15 percent.

Compatible dimming protocols — phase-cut, 0–10 V, or DALI depending on driver selection — are documented in our fixture schedules. We verify minimum load requirements to prevent flicker on low-wattage LED circuits common in retrofits.

Wall keypads are positioned at logical transition points: entry, bedroom door, kitchen pass-through. Wireless options suit rental flats in Punavuori where surface wiring is restricted.

Scene maps are delivered as a one-page reference card and programmed into the control system before handover. A follow-up visit after two weeks of living adjusts levels based on actual use patterns.
